Bump Watch: 28 Weeks - Makeup and Beauty Blog
So. Very. Pregnant.
That's how I feel all 24-hour interval long at present, all the time. So bad-mannered and significant.
Baby Girl is 28 weeks along now! Yup, my li'l sidekick and I have been together for seven months, which to me is kind of unreal because, ane), where did all that time go? — and, 2), this is almost the home stretch (she'due south due in early March)!
So, at the doctor's office this week for my checkup, my medico did this quondam-school trick with a paper measuring record to measure how many weeks along I am, only information technology was more for fun than seriousness because she'd already taken measurements with the sonogram.
With the paper measuring tape, though, she placed one end at the bottom of le bump, right at my pelvis, and then took the tape up over my umbilicus (which is less of a omphalus these days and more of a shine belly spot, only I'll get to that in a sec) and over my breadbasket to the top of le bump, simply below my breasts. Amazingly plenty, the tape measured 28 inches, respective to 28 weeks along, and then sometimes those quondam-school techniques still work!
Cool, huh?
So…fascinating affair about belly buttons and pregnancy, and I don't know why this never occurred to me earlier, but when your tum expands to otherworldly proportions, it can push your omphalos from an "innie" to an "outie."
Yeah, hello, Captain Obvious! Only I had no idea. And information technology seems to accept happened, seriously, overnight. WHOA!
Mine's nonetheless borderline innie…but that innie isn't going to be an innie much longer.
Aaand, you wanna know something gross? Of class you practice. 🙂 Over the class of all of this belly push button outing, I've found stuff in at that place…like lint and a tiny ball of what might have been cat hair. Non sure.
I KNOW! And then gross, but on the positive side, this is now the cleanest my abdomen button has always been.
Another thing…I'm having a actually hard time focusing these days, and I go overwhelmed easily. I oasis't been posting every bit much for the by week or and so, merely non because I haven't been trying. Everything has just been slower going than usual.
I sit at my desk-bound or in front of the camera for a video, and the words just don't come every bit hands as they used to (or, um…at all). Information technology's either some kind of pregnancy brain fog, and/or distractions because, aye, stuff on my mind.
So everything takes longer than usual, but I'yard still here. Nonetheless chuggin' along.
Oh, and the crying? Seriously, I don't even know, only I weep at least once a day, which I guess is only pregnancy hormones. It feels like PMS turnt up a gazillion notches.
Um…this is probably a good spot to say something almost the outfit I'm wearing. 🙂
Yous might call back the white Caslon shirt from my eighteen-week bump watch post. Well, the leggings are H&Thou motherhood, and the boots are the Susanna Boots past Bare Traps. The over-the-knee socks I'thou wearing, though, are such a pain in the @ss. I got them because they were on sale at Nordies and, you know, '90s nostalgia.
Dorsum in the solar day I wore similar thigh-high socks with a picayune a-line skirt (if yous've ever seen Clueless, they're similar what Cher and her crew wore), merely I conveniently forgot how really, actually annoying the socks are/were because I have to continue pulling them up every 5 minutes.
Oh, and the sweater is i from Nordstrom last year. (Or was information technology the year before? I tin can't remember anything right at present…)
Anywho, just wanted to say hi. I hope you're having a great calendar week and so far.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
